If you are trying just to lose a couple vanity pounds, a meal replacement shake may work well for you, it cuts the calories you would have otherwise taken in during a meal, and replaces them with just the vitamins and minerals your body needs. When you are trying to lose a significant amount of fat, your weight loss plan is going to incorporate a healthy diet, plenty of exercise, and some sort of supplement, in the form of either a shake or special meals.

How fast you are looking to lose the weight also is very important in determining what your best weight loss plan will be. For most people, you can lose up to 3 pounds a week and still be healthy, it is possible to lose more than this, as long as you are keeping up with your nutrition and making sure aren’t suffering any sort of deficiency. If you are trying to lose the weight over a long period of time, your body gets time to adjust to your new weight loss plan, this allows you to keep the weight off, and boost your metabolism.

If you have the time and money to work with a personal trainer, your weight loss plan is going to be tailored to your exact needs within your time frame. For most people however, time will be the major investment in their weight loss plan. You will need time to exercise and prepare healthy meals, two things you probably aren’t doing much of right now. This can range anywhere from an extra hour a day to possibly 3 or 4 hours a day. Your personal finances also plays an important role in determining what your best weight loss plan will be, if you can afford some of the more expensive shakes, you are going to have a better chance at succeeding. A gym membership and healthy meals also need to be taken into account when thinking about the financial aspect of a weight loss plan.

Whatever your best weight loss plan may be, you should be able to carry it out without over-exerting yourself, or starving yourself. You need to set a goal that you want to lose X number of pounds in Y amount of time, then you need to stay focused on meeting that goal. Everyone knows that the best weight loss plan is the one that works, but it is up to you to make it work.
